Who was Jean Delay?
Jean Delay was a French psychiatrist, neurologist and writer, a member of the Académie française. He discovered, jointly with J. M. Harl and Pierre Deniker, who was also a French psychiatrist, that a high dose of chlorpromazine produced a considerable reduction in the agitation and aggression of those patients with symptoms of schizophrenia.
