Ignace Callewaert was born in Belgium, Brussels to a middle-class family. His father was a jeweller. He has a brother and a sister who still live in Brussels. He was educated at Huddersfield Polytechnic, England in Politics and Economics. He has a keen interest in Astronomy. Today, Ignace calls himself Jean-Pierre de Rothschild and is a contemporary artist - with a wide-ranging repertory of compositions - painting abstract, impressionist and surreal subjects with distinctive styles that hold the balance of color, form and Impasto textured effecrs.
