Who is Jeff Pegues?
Jeffrey Pegues is an American News Correspondent. Jeff is a CBS News Correspondent based in Washington D.C. where he reports for all CBS News Platforms. Four months into his tenure he was named CBS News Transportation Correspondent. He was a reporter for WABC-TV in New York City from 2003 to 2013. On May 29, 2013, it was announced that Pegues was named a Correspondent for CBS News. His appointment took effect on July 8.
At WABC-TV, Pegues reported on major news and exclusive storylines. Pegues could also be seen filling in on several newscasts.
Pegues is mostly known for his reporting. He received numerous Emmy Awards during a nearly ten year run at WABC-TV and other nominations over a twenty year career. He is credited with bringing the story of David Goldman and his international fight for his son into the headlines. Jeff has also been recognized for his outstanding reporting at the height of Superstorm Sandy. As the storm crashed into New York City he reported on the rising flood water and spreading fires in Queens. But Jeff has also covered multiple political conventions both the Democratic National Convention and Republican National Convention in 2004.
