Who is Jennifer Griffin?

Jennifer Griffin is a Fox News correspondent, currently reporting from The Pentagon in Washington, D.C., as a national security correspondent. Prior to her reassignment in March 2007, she had reported from Jerusalem, Israel, for the network since joining it in 1999.

She is credited with conducting a rare interview with Ariel Sharon and reported on Sharon's hospitalization. Griffin also provided Fox News' coverage of the expulsion of Jewish settlements from the Gaza Strip.

Griffin has reported from Phuket, Thailand, following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and subsequent Asian tsunami. She also played a part in the release of fellow Fox News reporter Steve Centanni and cameraman Olaf Wiig from captivity in Gaza in 2006.

Prior to joining Fox News, Griffin covered Middle Eastern affairs for the Associated Press, National Public Radio, and U.S. News and World Report. Previously, she reported for The Sowetan newspaper in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she covered Nelson Mandela's release from imprisonment and numerous other moments in South Africa's transition away from apartheid.
