Who is Jill Sawyer?
Jill Sawyer is an American former competitive figure skater. She is the 1978 World Junior champion.
Sawyer trained in Tacoma, Washington, coached by Kathy Casey. As a 14-year-old, Sawyer drew attention for her ability to land the triple lutz, then a rare jump in ladies' singles. After observing her in February 1977, Carlo Fassi said, "She is ready for Senior Ladies right now." She retired, however, after winning the World Junior Championships in 1978.
