Who is Jim Wrinn?
Jim Wrinn is the editor of Trains magazine. In his Editor's column in the February 2005 issue, he referred to Trains as "the magazine that speaks to everyone with a spark of railroading."
Jim is formerly an editor of The Charlotte Observer, and spent 18 years with the paper, starting as a reporter there. Raised in the mountain town of Franklin, North Carolina, Wrinn attended Western Carolina University before earning a journalism and political-science degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jim is also a co-founder of the Southern Railway Historical Association, and holds an engineer's license with the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.
