Who was Jimmy Walsh?

Jimmy Walsh was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Kilkenny senior team from 1932 until 1944.

Walsh made his first appearance for the team during the 1932 championship and became a regular player over the next decade. During that time he won four All-Ireland winner's medals, seven Leinster winner's medals and one National Hurling League winners' medal.

At club level, Walsh enjoyed a successful career with Carrickshock, and is one of only four players to have won six county club championship winners' medals with the club.
