Who is Jo-Anne Knowles?

Jo-Anne Knowles is an English actress.

Having started acting at the age of 11, she has appeared in most of the major soaps, including ITV's Emmerdale, Four's Hollyoaks and BBC One's EastEnders as Alfie Moon's girlfriend. She played Fanny Tickler in Phoenix Nights, and also appeared in Balls of Steel but is best known for playing Janis Steel in Sky1's Mile High. Her most recent acting role was playing the part of Mia Perry in ITV1's The Bill in early 2007. She has also played Mina Van Helsing in the popular CBBC series Young Dracula. In 2009, she appeared on an episode of BBC mini drama series Moving On.

Divorced, she lives in London and has a cottage in Yorkshire. She gave birth to a daughter in 2010.
