Who is Jody Rosen?

Jody Rosen is an American journalist and author. He is the music critic for the online magazine Slate, has written for such publications as Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker and Rolling Stone, and is the author of White Christmas: The Story of an American Song.

In 2006, Rosen compiled Jewface, a controversial anthology of early 20th-century novelty songs about Jewish characters.

On March 27, 2008 Rosen's front page New York Times article reported the discovery by American audio historians of French inventor Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville's 1860 phonautograph recording, the earliest known recording of the human voice to be played back.

In August 2008, Rosen's Slate article "Dude, You Stole My Article" exposed a plagiarism scandal at the The Bulletin, a free alternative weekly newspaper in Montgomery County, Texas. The Bulletin folded shortly after the publication of Rosen’s exposé.
