Who is Joe Mohen?
Joe Mohen has developed Internet systems and software packages with
cumulative sales of more than $1 billion dollars. As founding CEO of
Election.com, Inc., the first global Internet election company, Mr.
Mohen became known in the software and Internet industries as both a
visionary and leader. Mr. Mohen led election.com to an extremely
successful round of start-up funding, which includied an equity stake
from VeriSign, and from other strategic investors worldwide. Under his
leadership, election.com conducted the world’s first legally binding
public elections over the Internet, which included the Arizona
Democratic Primary. Election.com expanded to seven countries during its
first two years of operation. He has received extensive press coverage
from international media including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The
Financial Times, Business Week, ABC, CBS, NHK Japan, BBC, and MTV. Mr.
Mohen is also the founder of ParishPay, a fully automated Internet
payment system which has dramatically improved financial operations for
religious organizations. He served as CEO of Proginet Corporation from
1991 thru 1996, which he founded in 1986. Mr. Mohen managed key
strategic alliances with IBM, Novell, and Microsoft, the latter two
included equity participation. He led the company through a
multi-jurisdictional initial public offering in May of 1995, after
which the company’s share price tripled. He is a member of Legatus, the
organization of Catholic CEOs, the National Association of Recording
Industry Professionals, and a former member and blue ribbon committee
member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
