Who is Joel Banal?
Joel Banal is a former Filipino professional basketball player, and former head coach of Alaska Aces in the Philippine Basketball Association. Banal played college ball for the Mapúa Institute of Technology, before venturing into professional basketball with the Great Taste Coffee Makers the PBA. He was previously head coach of the collegiate team Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles, and the Talk 'N Text Phone Pals, where he won championships in 2002 and 2003, respectively.
