Who is Joel Brown?

Joel Brown joined OpenTable in 2001 from

Charitableway, an application service provider linking businesses and

the nonprofit sector. As Executive Vice President, he built and led the

business operations, product management, customer service, charity

relations and account management teams.

Prior to joining Charitableway, Joel spent almost eight years at

Intuit, the leading provider of Internet and desktop finance solutions

for consumers and small businesses. As Vice President and General

Manager, he led the re-engineering of the Financial Supplies Group's

business operations which radically improved customer satisfaction,

marketing effectiveness and profitability. He then built the Employer

Services organization that launched a revolutionary Internet-based

payroll service for small businesses.

Before Intuit, Joel worked at Power Up Software, Pittiglio Rabin Todd

McGrath (a leading operations consulting firm for hi-tech

clients) and Arthur Andersen Co. (now Accenture) doing operations

and systems consulting. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering

Operations Research from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from

the Harvard Business School.
