Who is Johan Andersson?

Johan Andersson is the lead game programmer for Paradox Interactive, the Swedish-based game company which created the Europa Universalis series, the Victoria series, the Crusader Kings series, and the Hearts of Iron series. The majority are historical grand strategy games, featuring control of a country or faction, both economically and militarily.

Before working for Paradox, he was an employee of Funcom where he worked as a programmer on the Sega Mega Drive console with games like Nightmare Circus and NBA Hangtime. Although he began as a programmer, Andersson became the lead designer for Hearts of Iron III. His design philosophy is "to create believable worlds."
