Who is Johanna Olson?
Johanna Lynn Olson, MD is an American physician who specializes in the care of transgender youth, gender variant children, and youth with HIV and chronic pain. She is board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine and is an assistant professor at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She made appearances on ABC's 20/20 in 2007, The Dr. Phil Show in 2008, and most recently on OWN's Our America with Lisa Ling educating audiences on the medical needs of transgender adolescents. Dr. Olson is considered to be a national expert and leading figure in the care of transgender youth.
