Who is John A. Menzies?
John A. Menzies was appointed to the Family Division of the Court of Queen's Bench of Manitoba in 1996. On October 7, 1998, he was appointed to that court's General Division, upon the resignation of Mr. Justice V. Simonsen. He presides in Brandon.
Mr. Justice Menzies graduated in law from the University of Manitoba in 1980 and was called to the Bar of Manitoba in 1981. Before his appointment to the court, he practised law with the firm of Johnson & Company.
