Who is John Tully?
John A. Tully is an Australian historian.
John A. Tully currently lectures in Politics and History at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. He is the author of six published books a number of articles, book reviews and short stories. He is currently working on a book on the American city of Akron, tentatively entitled Struggle City USA: A Social History of Akron, Ohio. Tully lives in the inner western suburb of Yarraville. Tully is a socialist and was an active trade unionist during the many years he worked as a rigger in construction and heavy industry. He was born on Tyneside in northern England in 1947 and is descended from English and Irish forebears.
