Who was John Armstrong?
The Rt Rev John Armstrong CB, OBE was the fourth Bishop of Bermuda. Born on 4 October 1905 and educated at Durham School and Australian College of Theology, he was ordained in 1932. A Chaplain to the Royal Navy he eventually rose to be Chaplain of the Fleet from 1960 to 1963 when he was elevated to the Episcopate. He died on 30 December 1992.
