Who is John Broujos?
John H. Broujos is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Before being elected as a Democrat representing a Republican District until he retired after five terms, the truly honorable John Broujos volunteered to serve in the U.S.M.C. during each of the Korean Police Action and the Vietnam Nam campaign as well as building a law practice and, with his bride Louise, raising five superb children. During the Korean exercise, John was awarded the Silver Star. He ultimately retired from the Corps as a Colonel. His law practice incubated other fine practitioners and a former Dean of Dickinson Law, John Maher, when called upon by lawyers in cities remote from Carlisle to nominate a discreet effective Carlisle lawyer, inevitably named Col. Broujos. A later Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from a western constituency, a younger John Maher, has frequently cited Col. Broujos for inspiring the younger man to be as effective a legislator as possible John Broujos was born in Wilmington, Delaware.
