Who is John D. Finnegan?

Mr. Finnegan is chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Chubb Corporation, one of the world's leading property and casualty insurers, which he joined in 2002. Prior to his position at Chubb, Mr. Finnegan held several senior positions at General Motors.Mr. Finnegan graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1971. He received a law degree from Fordham Law School in 1975 and a master's degree in business administration from Rutgers University in 1976. Mr. Finnegan joined General Motors in 1976 where he served in many capacities, including president of General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC), chairman of the GMAC board of directors and executive vice president of General Motors Corporation. While serving as president and chairman of GMAC, he also served as GM's interim chief financial officer in 2000.
