Who is John Haslem?
John Whitton Haslem was an Australian politician.
In 1989, Haslem unsuccessfully sought election to the inaugural ACT Legislative Assembly, running as an independent candidate.
He was elected as the Liberal Party of Australia member for the House of Representatives seat of Canberra in 1975, serving until his defeat by Labor Party's Ros Kelly in the 1980 election.
He is now a real estate business owner in Batemans Bay.
