Who is John Krakauer?

John Krakauer is a neurologist, neuroscientist and academic. He is currently a Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience, the Director of the Center for the Study of Motor Learning and Brain Repair, the Director of Brain, Learning, Animation, and Movement Lab, at Johns Hopkins University, and the co-founder of the KATA project. His areas of interest range from motor learning and motor control and stroke to bioethics. From 2003 until 2010 he was the codirector of the Motor Performance Laboratory at the Neurological Institute of Columbia University. He received his bachelor degree at Trinity College of Cambridge University, but his advanced education and extended work have been in the United States, primarily associated with Columbia.
