Who was John Lawrence Hickson?
John Lawrence "Laurie" Hickson was a rugby union footballer of the 1880s and '90s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Bradford F.C., a Forward, e.g. Front row, Lock, or Back row. Prior to Tuesday 27 August 1895, Bradford F.C. was a rugby union club, and since 1907 it has been the association football club Bradford Park Avenue A.F.C.. He also captained his country.
