Who is John Mozeliak?

John "Mo" Mozeliak is the current Senior Vice President and General Manager of the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball. So far his only GM position, the Cardinals hired Mozeliak as the twelfth GM in franchise history after the 2007 season after serving and training as Walt Jocketty's assistant, despite lacking a professional baseball playing background.

During Mozeliak's tenure as GM, the Cardinals have made four playoff appearances, won one World Series title, and two National League pennants. The Cardinals' minor league farm system has received numerous accolades for the volume of prospects that have succeeded at the major league which it has produced. Baseball America recognized the franchise as Organization of the Year in 2011 and 2013. Each of Mozeliak's teams has finished with a winning record. He is currently signed through the 2018 season.
