Who is Paul Burbridge?
John Paul Burbridge was the Dean of Norwich in the last quarter of the 20th century. Born on 21 May 1932 he was educated at The King's School, Canterbury and King's College, Cambridge. After National Service with the Royal Artillery he was ordained in 1959 and began his ministry as a curate at Eastbourne Parish Church. Following this he was Precentor at York Minster and then a canon residentiary there. In 1976 he was appointed Archdeacon of Richmond, a post he held until becoming the Dean of Norwich.
