Who was John Maud?

John Primatt Maud was the second Bishop of Kensington from 1911 until his death 21 years later. He was born on 13 June 1860 and educated at Keble College, Oxford. Ordained in 1887 his first post was at St John the Evangelist, Westminster. From 1890 he was Vicar at Chapel Allerton, and from 1904 until 1911 St Mary, Redcliffe, Bristol. His son Sir John Maud had a distinguished career.
