Who was John Robertson?
John James Robertson was a Scottish Labour Party politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 1945–1951.
Roberston was first elected in the Labour landslide at the 1945 general election, for the Berwick and Haddington constituency. Following boundary changes, he was returned to the House of Commons at the 1950 general election for the new constituency of Berwick and East Lothian. He lost his seat at the 1951 election to the Unionist candidate, William Anstruther-Gray.
