Who is John Settle?
John R. Settle, is currently the running backs coach for the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a former professional American football player. A 5'9", 207-lb. undrafted running back from Appalachian State University, Settle attended Rockingham County High School and played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1987 to 1990. During the 1988 NFL season, he was selected to the 1988 Pro Bowl after rushing for a career high 1,024 yards and 7 touchdowns. He was the first undrafted running back in NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season.
