Who was John Zander?

John Adolf Fredrik Zander was a Swedish track and field athlete who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics and in the 1920 Summer Olympics.

He was born and died in Stockholm.

In 1912 he was part of the Swedish team which won the silver medal in the 3000 metre team. He also finished seventh the 1500 metres competition.

Eight years later he participated in the final of the 1500 metres event but he did not finish the race. He also helped Sweden to qualify for the final in the 3000 metre team race but he did not run in the final when Sweden won the bronze medal.
