Who was Johnny Hodapp?
Urban John Hodapp played major league baseball in the 1920s and 30s, mostly for the Cleveland Indians. He primarily played second base. He had a 9-year career, hitting for a .311 batting average. His best year was in 1930 when he hit .354 and knocked in 121 RBIs for Cleveland.
According to Baseball-reference.com, he is the "first AL player to get two hits in an inning twice in a game," in a drubbing of the Yankees by the Indians on July 29, 1928.
