Who is Johnson Mlambo?

Johnson Phillip Mlambo is a South African politician from Johannesburg.

He served as the Chairman of the outlawed Pan Africanist Congress from 12 August 1985 until 1990, and served as Deputy President of the PAC from 1990 to 1994.

Mlambo served 20 years in prison on Robben Island for his activities against the South African government, and, when released, he rejoined the PAC. He assumed chairmanship after the death of John Nyathi Pokela.

He is the uncle of Judge Dunstan Mlambo.
