Who is José Guillermo Santiago?
José Guillermo Santiago Guzman [Pantalones] is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1954 through 1956 for the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Athletics. In the Negro leagues, he played for the New York Cubans from 1947 to 1948. Listed at 5' 10", 175 lb., he batted and threw right-handed. He was also a boxing promoter during the 1980s.
In a three-season career, Santiago posted a 3–2 record with 29 strikeouts and a 4.66 ERA in 27 appearances, including five starts and 56.0 innings of work.
In 2003, Santiago was inducted into the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame.
