José Luis Borbolla Chavira was a Mexican former football striker. He played for the clubs Asturias, España and Marte, where he won the Mexican League title in 1943 before going to Europe to play with the Spanish clubs Deportivo de La Coruña, Real Madrid and Celta de Vigo. He returned to Mexico to join Veracruz. He later played for América, where he retired to become coach for one season. He was a member of the Mexico national team, playing in the 1950 FIFA World Cup in the match against Switzerland. .
