Who was Joseph Chhmar Salas?
Joseph Chhmar Salas was a bishop of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh in Cambodia between 1975 and 1977. He was also the first Cambodian native bishop and he died of exhaustion in a forced work camp of the Khmer Rouge.
