Who is Joseph Gargan?

Joseph F. "Joey" Gargan, Jr. is an American lawyer.

He is the son of Joseph F. Gargan, Sr. and Mary Agnes Fitzgerald. He has two younger sisters, Mary Jo and Ann. Joseph F. Gargan, Sr. was a prominent Lowell, Massachusetts attorney and World War I hero. Mary Agnes Fitzgerald was a sister of philanthropist/socialite Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald. Rose's husband was businessman/politician Joseph Patrick "Joe" Kennedy, Sr.. The Kennedys raised him and his sisters after the 1936 death of their mother. Joey and his sisters are first cousins of World War II casualty Joseph Patrick "Joe" Kennedy, Jr., President John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy, Senator Robert Francis "Bobby" Kennedy, and longtime Senator Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy. He was present on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts, on the night leading up to the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.
