Who was Joseph Healy?
Joseph Healy was a United States Representative from New Hampshire. He was born in Newton, Massachusetts. He completed preparatory studies and then worked as a hotel keeper. He also engaged in agricultural pursuits.
Healy was a member of the New Hampshire Senate in 1824. He was elected as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth and Twentieth Congresses. After leaving Congress, he was a member of the New Hampshire Executive Council 1829-1832. He resumed agricultural pursuits and the hotel business. He died in Washington, New Hampshire in 1861 and was buried in the Old Cemetery.
