Who is Joseph Jett?
Government bond trader at Kidder, Peabody Co realised his company's accounting system overvalued certain transactions. By exploiting this flaw, Jett made hundreds of millions of dollars worth of "profit" for his firm - money that was, in reality, nothing more than an accounting error. He was discovered in 1995.
