Who is Joy Burch?
Joy Marie Burch is an Australian politician with the Australian Labor Party, elected to the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly in the Brindabella electorate at the 2008 election.
Joy Burch was appointed to Cabinet in November 2009 as the Minister for Disability Housing and Community Services, Minister for Children and Young People, Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Minister for Ageing and Minister for Women.
In May 2011 Joy Burch took on responsibilities as Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs and Minister for Arts. Later in 2011 this was revised to include Minister for Community Services, Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Minister for Ageing, Minister for Women, Minister for Gaming and Racing, Minister for the Arts.
In 2014 her son was charged with aggravated robbery of a fast food restaurant.
