Julia Haydee Mora Maza is a former model, and actress who was crowned Miss El Salvador, on May 3, 1985
After winning the Miss El Salvador title in 1985 she travelled to Miami in July, 1985, as a representative of El Salvador in the Miss Universe 1985 contest. Due to the ongoing civil war in El Salvador the Miss Universe organization assigned a personal bodyguard from the Miami Police Department, to protect her during her participation in the pageant.
