Who is Julian Baker?

Julian Baker has served as a director of Genomic Health since January 2001. Mr. Baker is a Managing Member of Baker Bros. Advisors, LLC which he and his brother, Felix Baker, PhD, founded in 2000. Mr. Baker’s firm manages Baker Brothers Investments, a family of long-term investment funds for major university endowments and foundations, which are focused on publicly traded life sciences companies. Mr. Baker’s career as a fund manager began in 1994 when he co-founded a biotechnology investing partnership with the Tisch Family, now known as Baker/Tisch investments. Previously, Mr. Baker was employed from 1988 to 1993 by the private equity investment arm of Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation. He is also a director of Incyte Corporation, Neurogen Corporation, Theravance, Inc. and Trimeris, Inc. Mr. Baker holds an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University.
