Who is June Gonsalves?

Dame June Gonsalves, DSG was a radio broadcaster in Trinidad and Tobago for many years. She was an announcer on Radio Trinidad and hosted several programs, including a Catholic religious programme on Sunday mornings at 10 am.

She was the first female director of a Trinidadian radio show. She moved on to Trinidad and Tobago television as a TV announcer. She works with the Roman Catholic Church. In 2000, she became the first woman in Trinidad and Tobago to be named a Dame Commander of the Order of St Gregory the Great.
