Kaoru Mende is an architectural lighting designer from Japan.
Mende has bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Tokyo. He is a professor of lighting design at Musashino Art University and also lectures at the University of Tokyo and the Tokyo University of the Arts, among other institutions.
