Who was Karl Fischer von Treuenfeld?

Karl Fischer von Treuenfeld was a Gruppenführer and Generalleutnant of the Waffen-SS during World War II and the commander of the VI SS Army Corps. He also served with the General staff during World War I and between the wars was an early confidant of Adolf Hitler. He survived World War II then committed suicide in 1946.
