Who is Kat Coiro?

Kat Coiro, or Katherine Cunningham-Eves, is an award winning film director, writer & producer whose films have played at festivals worldwide, including at Tribeca, The Los Angeles Film Festival and Cannes. Coiro attended Carnegie Mellon University and the Moscow Art Theater for history and directing. Coiro was also accepted as a fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory before she left to pursue a professional career in film and television.

Her most recent feature A Case of You, starring Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, Vince Vaughn, Sam Rockwell, Peter Dinklage is being distributed by IFC. Coiro also directed the 2012 feature films L!fe Happens, starring Krysten Ritter, Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson, Justin Kirk, Geoff Stults, Kristen Johnson, Rhys Coiro, Seymour Cassell and Jason Biggs, which opened theatrically in April 2012 and And While We Were Here with Claire Bloom, Jamie Blackley, Iddo Goldberg and Kate Bosworth which premiered in competition at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival and is being distributed by Well Go slated for a September Theatrical release. Kat also broke records by directing the first film shot entirely at 35,000 feet above the air when she wrote and directed Departure Date for Virgin Airlines, which stars Emmy-nominee Ben Feldman. Kat also directed the 2010 Funny or Die Viral Video "Idiots" with Zoe Saldana, Janeane Garofalo, and Greg Grunberg as well as the 2009 film Kidnapping Caitlynn. The film stars Jason Biggs, Jenny Mollen and Julie Benz and it was adapted into a webseries called Ex-Appeal.
