Who is Kathryn Borel Jr.?

Kathryn Borel Jr. is a founding producer of CBC Radio One's Q, and is the author of Corked, a memoir about family, grief, France and wine. The book was covered positively in various national publications, including Marie Claire, Elle USA, Glamour, the Globe and Mail, the National Post, and voted one of the best books of 2009 by Quill & Quire magazine. On April 1, 2010, she became one of the youngest authors ever to be nominated for the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour.

After receiving her BJ from King's College, she moved to Toronto in 2002. In her decade-long journalism career, Kathryn Borel has written and broadcast for many local and national top-rated programs on CBC Radio One, including Metro Morning, GO! and As It Happens. Her print journalism work includes a past column for The National Post called "Indignities", a humorous food column called "Column Dine" for Eye Weekly magazine.
