Who is Kathy Lambert?

Kathy Lambert is a United States Non-partisan member of the King County Council, the legislative body for King County, Washington. Lambert is in her second full term representing the third district, which includes North Bend, Snoqualmie, Issaquah, Sammamish, Fall City, Preston, Duvall, Redmond, Carnation, Skykomish, most of Woodinville and part of Bellevue.

In 2001 she defeated Democrat Kristy Sullivan with 64% of the vote.

In 2005 and 2009 she was unopposed.

She serves as Chair of the Government Accountability and Oversight Committee and has previously Chaired the Law and Justice Committee. She also serves on several other committees including the Board of Health, the Budget Committee and Budget negotiating team.

Before becoming a full-time elected official she was an elementary school teacher. Lambert is married and has adult children and several grandchildren and lives in Redmond.
