Who is Kenny Noble Cortes?

Kenny Noble Cortes is an American radio personality, musician, and songwriter.

His mother is from Bogota, Colombia. His dad is from Portland, Oregon. He graduated from the USAF Academy Prep School and received an appointment to the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs. Kenny voluntarily left the Academy, attended Columbia School of Broadcasting and landed his first job in radio at KTAM Bryan/College Station, Texas. From there he went on to do mornings at KLOL, Houston where he won Billboard Magazine's AOR Major Market Air Personality of the Year.

After relocating to KZLA Los Angeles in July 1978, Kenny and his program director, Jack Popejoy, created “Z Nite”–a Sunday evening program that featured jazz/fusion artists and mainstream soft rock artists. The program proved to be one of the inspirations for the Wave format of the 1980s.

In the 1990s Kenny served as morning host for KRWM in Seattle. He moved to South Florida in 1997 and was selected as morning host of Love 94–Miami’s smooth jazz. He was named new morning host for CD 104.3 in August 2003.
