Who is Kevin McStay?
Kevin McStay is an Irish former Gaelic footballer and manager who played as a left corner-forward for the Mayo team.
McStay is regarded as one of Mayo's greatest-ever players. He made his debut for the team during the 1983 and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1990 championship. During that time he won two Connacht winners' medals and one All-Star award. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion.
At club level McStay played with both Ballina Stephenites in Mayo and Ballymun Kickhams in Dublin.
He was the manager of St. Brigid's of Roscommon in 2013 when they won the All Ireland Club Championship against Ballymun Kickhams.
McStay is a regular analyst on The Sunday Game.
