Who is King Django?

Jeff Baker, better known as King Django, is a New Brunswick, NJ-based ska musician. He was the leader of Skinnerbox and Stubborn All-Stars.

Since 1986, Django has been playing, touring and recording with a series of NY based bands including The Boilers and Murphy's Law while at the same time being a full-time member of Skinnerbox.

He has had some commercial success leading the Stubborn All-Stars, a collection of New York ska musicians, with their single "Pick Yourself Up" seeing heavy rotation on MTV.

He also runs Stubborn Records and Version City studios, home of the Version City Rockers, out of the basement of his house in New Brunswick. In August 2006 he started running the monthly Version City parties at the Knitting Factory in New York City, on the first Saturday of every month.

King Django has mentioned that he is involved with the music of a surrealist dark comedy called Living Evil, which is being created by surrealist artists the Hive of Dukes. He also showed interest in doing voiceovers on the show.
