Who is Kirsten Emmelmann?
Kirsten Emmelmann, née Siemon, is a former German track and field athlete who represented East Germany in the 1980s in the 400 meter sprint. Her biggest success came as a member of the 4x400 meter relay: in 1987 she was world champion, and at the 1988 Summer Olympics her team was third. Her biggest individual success came at the World athletics championship in 1987 when she was third.
