Who is Konangi?
Konangi is the pen name of the Tamil writer Ilango. He was born and currently lives in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu. He has published five short story collections and two novels. His works are characterised by extremely dense imageries and emphasis on language rather than the plot. His work belongs to the less popular 'serious literature genre' in Tamil which is mostly published in literary magazines and only occasionally in popular magazines and newspapers with wider circulation.
